This session will explore NYC Citywide instructional expectations surrounding cultural competence and responsiveness. Participants will examine Charlotte Danielson’s framework and the significance of Domain 1b: Knowledge of Students, which requires educators to take into account the role of culture, heritage and students interests in classroom planning and instruction.
