This workshop will introduce the concept of cultural competence while challenging participants to recognize its impact on teaching and student performance. The session will explore the significance of cultural competence in adhering to the mandates of education initiatives like the Charlotte Danielson Framework for Teaching. Participants will examine a conceptual framework for cultural competence, current research and engage in small group discussions.
